Van Stanhope, a magazine publisher, is a hard-working, vibrant executive who is happily married to his lovely wife Linda. Although their relationship is based on absolute trust, friends warn her about the perils of allowing Whitey, her husband’s extraordinarily gorgeous secretary, to continue having access to him. Even Van’s mother tells Linda that his father philandered during their marriage, and that Van, like other men, will succumb to opportunity and temptation. Whitey has a devoted boyfriend, but she secretly has unrequited emotions for her boss. When they go on a business trip to Havana, Linda is convinced by circumstantial evidence that the rumours she has heard are true.
